The most-awaited fantasy drama series Game of Thrones Season 7 has recently handed out some new updates at Comic-Con in San Diego. Spoilers for the upcoming season reveal that viewers will see Sansa dying first. What leads to her death? The revelation is here.

HBO announced Game of Thrones Season 7 on April 21, 2016. Different from the previous seasons, the seventh season will only have seven episodes. This is due to the smaller amount of story content remaining.

Right from the beginning, we saw clashes between kingdoms for the Iron Throne. Going by the trend, Game of Thrones Season 7 will be no exception. Now that the battle for power is officially in progress, fans can expect one of the mainstays biting the dust in the next installment. Who will it be?

With the outbreak of the war, Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) is finally heading to Westeros and Cersei (Lena Headey) is Queen after assassinating an entire city. At the same time, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) has been declared King in the North.

When the Game of Thrones Season 7 cast at Comic-Con in San Diego was asked to reveal who they think will be the first casualty when the HBO hit returns next summer, their answers came as a blow.

English actress Sophie Turner, who we know as Sansa Stark, replied saying: “Cersei should die, but probably won’t die. I don’t think she’ll die. We need a bad guy on Game of Thrones.”

Then she gave a very heartbreaking yet realistic answer. The 20-year-old star said: “Who will die? Maybe Sansa, maybe Sansa will die!” If Turner is to be believed, Game of Thrones Season 7 will be a depressing one for Sansa’s fans. Sometimes the truth is hard to swallow.

On the contrary, Iwan Rheon predicted that he is hoping for Aeron Greyjoy (Michael Feast) to die first in Game of Thrones Season 7. He explained: “Just because I didn’t like him.” Then he promptly added:  “Because the actor did a good job, you know what I mean?” Rheon’s Ramsay Bolton perhaps is the most hated character in the fantasy series, who finally breathed his last in Season 6, according to an exclusive published on E News.

Game of Thrones Season 7 is returning in summer 2017.
