The Game of Thrones Season 6 Finale did not disappoint, or did it? While everyone’s still reeling from the last episode, here is the Game of Thrones Season 6 Finale Recap. From Loras and Margaery in the Sept of Baelor to Mad Queen Cersei to our confirmation that we know nothing about Jon Snow. Here is the recap.
The show runners should have entitled it Valar Morghulis 2.0. As Loras and Margaery burn to their death in the Sept of Baelor along with the others, all those speculations about the wildfire has come through.
Meanwhile, after seeing what his mad mother has done from the Red Keep, Tommen calmly takes off his crown and commits suicide. The finale also sees Pycelle and Lancel die in the city’s underbelly.
If anyone has a hankering for some sweet revenge, Arya hands it in the form of sweet pies made of Walter Frey’s two equally vicious boys. Revenge is sweet as Arya makes Walter Frey realize he feasted on his sons’ meat moments before he himself gets a slit to the throat. The Starks send their regard.
Ships Ahoy for Tyrion and Daenerys
Meanwhile in Meereen, Daenerys rejects Daario’s romantic plea to sail with her to Westeros. Even after Daario confesses that all he needs is her and not a crown, his heed goes rejected.
As Daenerys seeks counsel from Tyrion about Daario, Tyrion skirts it instead.
“He wasn’t the first to love you, and he won’t be the last,” Tyrion tells her. He receives the Hand of the Queen after he pledges his allegiance for “now and always.” TV Line has called the partnership Tyrnaerys.
Question is, what will Tyrion do when he finally learns that his own sister has claimed the Iron Throne for herself? Who of the two queens will he serve then?
Anyway, Westeros should definitely prepare as Tyrion, Daenerys and the dragons start on their way for the Iron Throne. And they’re on dragon ships, Radio Times notes.
The Red Woman to the South
Melisandre shares a bit of her sad childhood with Jon Snow in an effort to build camaraderie but Davos exiles her instead to the South.
We definitely know nothing about Jon Snow. Or his identity. After he finally gets admitted into House Stark by no other than Sansa, we find by way of Bran he might indeed be a Targaryen? As Bran sees a young Ned Stark beside a dying Lyanna lying in a blood-soaked bed, Ned is handed a baby whom is to be hidden from Robert Baratheon.
So is Jon a Stark or a Targaryen?
All Hail Queen Cersei
After losing Tommen and going with her Mad Queen move with the wildfire, King’s Landing has now a queen. Jaime arrives to a burned down sept with Cersei on the Iron Throne.
As Sansa says, winter is here and fans head for a hibernation. Whatever happens, this Game of Thrones Season 6 Finale recap will be here for you to relive those finale moments.
