Winter is coming for Kelly Clarkson and her family.
The singer-songwriter shared her epic family “Game of Thrones“-themed Christmas card on Instagram. Kelly Clarkson caption reads: “Merry Christmas from the Blackstock clan! #gameofthrones #winteriscoming #riverisnotworried.”
Kelly posed for the HBO show-themed photo with husband Brandon Blackstock, 18-month-old daughter River Rose and stepchildren Seth and Savannah.
The family stood for the gloomy shot in front of a castle. Kelly and her stepdaughter were clad in full royal dresses, similar to the characters in GoT. The Blackstock men, on the other hand, wore kilts. Watermarked with a dragon, the photo also features the classic “GOT” line, “Winter is Coming,” Huffington Post noted.
The family gave their best dark expressions on their faces, with the exception of River who couldn’t help but grin, Hello magazine wrote.
In December 2013, Kelly Clarkson also shared their hilarious family Christmas card featuring Santa Claus.
Next year there will be an addition to the family’s Christmas card. The 33-year-old American Idol winner announced in August that she and Brandon were expecting their second child together.
“I was not planning on announcing this, but … I’m totally pregnant,” Kelly revealed to the crowd during her “Piece by Piece” tour in Los Angeles, People magazine wrote.
The “Miss Independent” singer revealed in October that she was expecting her first son, She shared a photo of her daughter with a caption: “River’s gonna have a little baby brother 🙂 #itsaboy We’re so excited!”
Meanwhile, Clarkson also celebrated the Grammy nominations she received. She has 2 of them — Best Pop Vocal Album for her “Piece by Piece” and for Best Pop Solo Performance for “Heartbeat Song.“
Kelly tweeted: “Woke up to 2 Grammy nominations!! 🙂 Thanks everybody who nominated me and congrats to all the other nominees!“
