Syrio Forel, played by MIltos Yerolemou, is dead on the show. To recollect, Syria was the person who taught Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) sword fight. The young stark turns out to be deadly with her very own weapon later.
Williams had revealed to IGN that she still feels alive.
“I always was like, ‘Oh, no, I feel like he’s still alive. I always had my own theory that he and Jaqen were the same person,” said the young Stark (via Metro)
However, quite contrary to her perspective, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss declared that he’s dead.
Disappointed with their decision, she said, “I was like, ‘Oh, OK. Maybe if it’s not in the show, it will be in the book, and that will be great.”
