HBO unveiled the first teaser trailer of “Game of Thrones” season six and it featured two of the most  favorite characters in the series.

In the 40-second clip, titled “Tease,” showed flashbacks to the bloodiest moments of the series including that of Jon Snow (Kit Harington).

Daily News noted that although Snow was in the center of the footage, it is still unclear whether the character is still alive.

At the conclusion of previous season, Snow was last seen bleeding out on the grounds of Castle Black after being stabbed by his own men.

HBO also recently released a poster of the Emmy-winning show that also featured slightly bloody profile of Snow. The poster also confirmed that season six will premiere in April 2016.

HBO Programming President Michael Lombardo had previously confirmed that Snow died in the season 5 finale and he will remain dead in season 6.

“Dead is dead. He is dead…Yes, everything I’ve seen, heard and read, Jon Snow is indeed dead,” Lombardo said.

However, recent leaked set photos of GoT suggested otherwise. Harington has been reportedly spotted several times around GoT’s set location in Belfast, Ireland.

Harrington also hinted in an interview by a Belgian magazine that season five may not be the end for Snow.

“Let’s just say that ’Game of Thrones’ will remain a part of my life for a while, I’ll probably be in my thirties when it’s over. One thing’s for sure: the day I’m no longer on ‘Thrones’ is the day I’ll bury myself in movie projects,” he replied.

Meanwhile, the new GoT teaser also confirmed that Bran Stark, played by Isaac William Hempstead, will be coming back in the upcoming season, Entertainment Weekly noted. Bran had been being sidelined in season five.

He can be heard saying: “They have no idea what’s going to happen.” This further fueled curiosity among fans on what will be the storyline of season six since many believe that the upcoming season will likely to depart even further from George R.R. Martin’s “Winds of Winter.”

In the teaser, the new voice of the Three Eyed Raven, played by veteran actor Max von Sydow, can also be heard.

“Game of Thrones” season six premiere airs in April.
