Frank Ocean has been away from the spotlight for quite a long time and it looks like his fans are losing their patience upon waiting for a new album. But there might still be hope for a new material as singer James Blake allegedly reveals details about it.

Blake collaborated with the crooner for the song “The Colour in Everything.” Speaking to Pitchfork, he believes that the wait would be worth it. “It may be subject to change. He is onto something, he really is.”

Then, he said the they became good friends because of Ocean’s musicality. “His process, the way he writes, the strength of what he does, who he is,” Blake said.

“Frank’s vision was the only thing that mattered, at the end of the day. If the tables were turned, and Frank was to have a particular opinion about my music, I would take it into consideration, but it’s about my gut feeling as well,” he continued. He also said that because of that and what he learned, he will collaborate with other artists more often.

Frank Ocean released his first full-length LP in 2012, since then, fans have heard nothing about an upcoming material. But his elusiveness brought more attention to the media.

It has been reported that he is having a secret album which will be out soon. Producer James Ho, a.k.a. Malay allegedly hinted details as well.

“We’ve all been working hard. He’s been working super hard. I feel like he’s working harder than he’s ever worked in his life. I’m excited for everyone to hear it,” told Pitchfork as well. “I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised, for sure.”

But a new track had leaked online before it was removed afterwards. However, the report revealed that Pharell and Jay-Z were featured. More news about Frank Ocean and his new album soon.
