Frank Ocean has recently been creating headlines for missing-in-action, and has also left Twitterverse wondering where he really is and when his new album will drop?

Now, Ocean has again come under the limelight, with rapper Wale suggesting that Ocean’s sexuality has been an advantage for getting the Grammy award, according to a report by Hollywood Life.

“If a dude was gay, man, he’d get a Grammy,” Wale said on The Breakfast Club show.

“They’re going to make fun of them, they’re gonna throw their Twitter jokes…but in the next three years there’s probably gonna be a dude who’s not even gay that’s just like ‘Man, this is my last resort’ …But nah, I would sign a gay rapper if he was dope. ‘Go ahead man, go do that thing, go do them Versace fashion shows.”

Wale also noted that being gay in the US is an “advantage” at this time.

“That’s just the fact of the matter. Frank Ocean is very dope. Very very dope artist. He got pushed to the moon when he dropped his album though. He got the Grammy and everything. There’s about 30 artists in the country that sold about how much he did or more – they didn’t get any of that.”

There is no denying that Ocean as an artist is much loved by his fans and his music has in fact earned him the following that he currently enjoys.

Many may also agree that Wale is trying to call a spade a spade and show the world the other side of the industry that others do not acknowledge. However, more may disagree with Ocean.

Amid all these reports, there’s one thing Ocean’s fans are dying to know — when will his new album, “Boys Don’t Cry”, be released?

There have been many reports about Ocean with his collaborators, apparently working on new pieces. Earlier reports reveal Ed Banger’s Pedro Winter shared details about SebastiAn collaborating with Ocean, but later toned it down in a statement he released.

Frank Ocean fans can keep coming back for more updates on the artist.
