The second season of “The Flash” will be ending soon. What makes the Flash finale so satisfying this season?

According to actor Teddy Sears, the season 2 finale will be “satisfying” because the identity of the “man in the iron mask” will finally be revealed. “We reveal it in the finale — I had no clue last week,” Sears, who plays Zoom in the show, told Entertainment Weekly. “I didn’t know who the guy was. I didn’t even have a clue. Well, of course, now I know because we’re shooting the finale and we’ll get to that stuff next week. All has been revealed to me. I don’t even know what to say because it’s such a fun thing to me being nice and vague and untouched. I can promise that it will be revealed and it will be quite satisfying.”

The “man in the iron mask” was shown in an earlier episode, trapped just a feet from Barry and Jesse. Neither of them was able to free the unknown character, though. Because Zoom showed up and they had to flee.

Who is the man in the iron mask? According to Comic Book, fans of the show have speculated that it might be an Earth-2 doppelganger of major “The Flash” and “Arrow” characters. Some even suggest that, somehow, Jay Garrick himself will be behind the mask. Fans will have to wait for the Flash finale to find out for sure, though. You can catch a new episode of “The Flash” every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

Meanwhile, it was earlier reported that the big screen adaptation of The Flash might be a comedy film.  DC’s favourite speedster will be played by the “super funny” Ezra Miller in the movie. “The Flash” is set to hit the big screen on March 16, 2018.
