Pixar’s “Finding Nemo” had been a huge hit for both kids and kids at heart, and some have been wondering if there could be a sequel. After a decade, the gang from the big ‘ol blue is back with the upcoming film “Finding Dory.” But how true is it that the production removed Marlin from the film?
Do not worry guys, because Marlin will absolutely be on the sequel, as Cinema Blend confirms. However, the site noted that he might not be present for the whole duration of the film. His character will be voiced by no other than Albert Brooks.
Another news is that, the film’s ending might be at Sea World. In a previous article written by The New York Times, the script “initially had an ending that involves a marine park.” But after Sea World faced controversies regarding Gabriela Coperthwaite’s documentary “Blackfish,” the writers made some dramatic changes on the script.
What could be the end of Dory’s adventure? We will find out soon.
From what we know so far, “Finding Dory” is about the forgetful blue tang- Dory, and her journey in finding her biological parents.
More than that, Pixar Animation Studios President Jim Morris shared some information regarding the film in the recent Disney Pixar media event in Singapore, as reported by Rappler.
According to him, Dory’s journey will lead her to Monterey Marine Life Institute in California.
As for the cast and crew, the blue tang will still be voiced by the award winning TV host Ellen DeGeneres. Meanwhile, Nemo’s character will now be voiced by Hayden Rolence, 11, since Alexander Gould, who voiced Nemo in the first film is now 21.
New characters will also be featured in the film such as Bailey the beluga whale played by Ty Burell, Destiny the whale shark played by Kaitlin Olson and Hank the octopus voiced by Ed O’Neill, to name a few.
“Finding Dory” premieres on June 15, 2016.
