Fans always hope that their favorite groups stick together forever and continue rolling out one good album after another. Reality struck home, when Dinah from the Fifth Harmony girl group, mentioned that they may go their separate ways in the future.

As noted by MTV, when questioned about where they see themselves in five years, Dinah said, “We’ve been together for basically three years now and looking back… we’re very, very… happy with where we’re at right now. But from here on out, we wanna hopefully win a couple more awards together… maybe build more music together as well.”

She added, “But I feel like we’ll probably go our separate ways later on. That’s the truth.”

It is clear from the video that the statement comes as no surprise to the other girls, who do not give much of a reaction to her answer. And this is actually the sad truth, that no band actually lasts forever.

In the beginning of the year, in an interview with Latina magazine, Camilla shared, “We’d be lying if we all said this is a picture-perfect thing, like we all completely agreed on the album track list and what the sound and the music video treatment would be like, which usually happens in bands who grew up together. But for manufactured bands, it’s harder.”

As is natural when in groups, the Fifth Harmony girls — Dinah, Camilla, Ally, Lauren and Normani may also have differences in opinion and it is likely why they would think about separating in the future. But for their fans, the group’s strength lies in sticking together and continuing to make good music.

However, it will be a long time before Fifth Harmony members head down their own paths. For now, fans can revel in the fact that the group is actually working on the second album, aimed to be out next year.
