Fast and Furious seems to be spicing up the eight installment of the franchise with a little bit of romance and flirting.

Actor Tyrese Gibson has revealed that he has a special bonding with new co-star Charlize  Theron while on set. He however assured that fans will still see an action-packed, or even more explosive movie next year.

Gibson explained that it is just that he and Theron have bond time over parenting when the camera stopped rolling and nothing more. The actor said they already exchanged phone numbers for the future play date of their kids.

“I got Charlize’s cell phone number. I was flirting with her a little bit. We’re trying to get the kids together, have a little fun…She’s sweet,” he told E! News.

The 40-year-old actress has two kids – 4-year-old Jackson and August, 9 months. Theron broke up with actor Sean Penn last July. Gibson, on the other hand, shares custody of his 8-year-old daughter, Shayla, with ex-wife, Norma.

Gibson added that Theron has lifted the cast on an inspiration level. The actress is set to play villain in the upcoming “Fast and Furious” movie. Film composer Brian Tyler earlier compared Theron’s character, Cipher, to Hannibal Lecter of the “Hannibal” franchise. He said Cipher will really get under your skin and will definitely cause problem to Dominic Toretto’s gang.

The actress is just one of the new cast members in the Furious franchise. Helen Mirren and Scott Eastwood will also join the cast for the eight installment of the franchise.

Meanwhile, Gibson also disclosed how the cast cope with Paul Walker’s sudden death. Walker, who played Brian O’Conner in the previous “Fast and Furious” films, died in a car crash in November 2013.

He admitted that it is never easy moving forward without the actor. However, he assured that although they missed Walker on the set, the franchise is doing its best to make Furious 8 a better film than the previous installment.

Fast and Furious 8 will hit in theaters on April 14, 2017.
