It is known that “Fast and Furious 8” has been shot in Cleveland and Cuba, making it the first movie to ever set foot in the Cuban land. The production team went under rigorous negotiations with the Cuban government just to make it possible.
According to past reports, the filmmakers genuinely want to film in Cuba because of its exotic feel, notes Variety. They do not want to use CGI just to imitate the place.
