It has been a long ride, but Dom and his family are still set to continue their action-packed journey in high-flying cars. Now that we know the original cast members will come back to reprise their respective roles for the upcoming installments, what’s still unknown at the moment are the supercars that will be the next highlight for “Fast and Furious 8.”

According to reports, “Fast and Furious 8” will indeed feature a bevy of supercars that will also see some trashing in the film. A couple of weeks ago, Jalopnik teased a series of photos of the rides on the way to Iceland, where the new film is set to take place. There was a number of Lamborghini Murciélagos and some Subaru Imprezas, but there’s only one Rally Fighter. If that’s not enough, the report also gave a better look at a couple of military armoured trucks.

“Universal has been so good to me and so trusting of the vision … they have been like family … I promised the studio I would deliver one last trilogy to end the saga,” said Vin Diesel when he revealed that the franchise will get another trilogy. Previous installments have seen several jaw-dropping stunts, and we’re quite eager to see what “Fast and Furious 8” will do this time.

The franchise will see Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, and its original cast come back for “Fast and Furious 8.” Eva Mendes is also expected to make her long-awaited return as Agent Monica Fuentes. Brian O’Conner was written out of the franchise in the seventh film, following the sad passing of Paul Walker. His brothers Cody and Caleb Walker joined in the set afterwards to see it finished. It’s still unknown if the character will make an appearance in the following installments, but Cody could enter the film as Brian’s younger brother.

Fast 8” is pegged for an April 2017 release.
