These days, there are a lot of speculations about Eminem’s new album in 2016. The latest buzz says his new music album is going to feature a rap battle between him and Drake. Is the musical clash between these two maestros real or just another internet hoax?
On his Wednesday morning show, Hot 97 host DJ Ebro Darden talked about a private conversation he had with Drake about Joe Budden and Slim Shady. Ebro also indicated a rumored feud between the two rappers (Em vs Drake) following Drizzy’s long-time beef with Budden, who is signed to Eminem’s label.
In his words: “I told Drake that I heard the rumor Eminem was going to gear up to come after him. He laughed. He was like, ‘That’s not gonna happen.’ He’s like, ‘He’d never do that. And if he did, I got something for him, too.'”
Consequently, Twitter users promptly overflowed the social networking page with posts hinting at the rumored feud. Though Drake has a huge fan base, it is tough for them to digest that he would be able to take on the ‘Rap God’ himself, Eminem, in an actual head-to-head battle.

Drake can gather all the hip hop artists to write for him verses but he will never win a rap battle against slim shady #Eminem

It’s not yet clear where Darden heard the rumor about Em’s potential Drake diss. Many believe that this could come from the fact that Eminem signed Joe Budden to his Shady Records imprint as part of Slaughterhouse in 2012. However, the group has not released an album since that year’s Welcome to: Our House. Last year, Drizzy’s friend-turned-foe Budden rapped about his lack of communication with Marshall Mathers on the song Slaughter Mouse.
Ebro, Drake and Eminem have one connective link between them, i.e. Apple Music. Apart from his work with Hot 97, Ebro is also a host on Beats 1. Drake has his own show on the music service OVOSOUND Radio, and he’s signed a deal of exclusivity with the platform. In the meantime, Eminem released exclusive stuff through Apple Music last year, according to Rap-Up.
Could the Too Good rapper and Rap God be clashing? That remains to be seen. For now, fans can do nothing but wait for Eminem’s new album in 2016.
