USA Olympic Team forward Draymond Green accidentally posted a photo of his penis on social media. He has taken the photo down and apologized for the gaffe.
Green, who plays in the NBA for the Golden State Warriors, took to Snapchat on Sunday afternoon and shared a snap of his manhood to thousands of followers. According to a report by ESPN, the revealing photo stayed on the popular social media platform for 10 minutes before being deleted. Shortly after the shocking post came online, Green attempted to place the blame on hackers. He took to his Twitter account and said: “Hacked….. Can’t win right now.”
Despite initially trying to wash his hands clean, Green eventually took full responsibility for the mishap. “I apologize for the situation. It’s clearly not what I was trying to do,” he said. He explained that it was meant to have been a private message but he accidentally clicked the wrong button. The small mistake resulted in a very public display of his private parts.
“It was meant to be private. We’re all one click away from placing something in the wrong place, and I suffered from that this morning,” he said. The Golden State Warriors star did not reveal the identity of the photo’s intended recipient. Despite the averted scandal, Green joined the rest of Team USA in their practice session at the Toyota Center. Green is part of the Dream Team that will compete in the 2016 Rio Olympics this month.
The small social media accident is only the latest minor scandal involving Draymond Green. He also had a brush with the law last month. Green was arrested on July 10 after he was caught slapping Michigan State University player Jermaine Edmondson. He has since been slapped with a US$500 fine and a $60 restitution fee, a meager amount for a top NBA star and Olympic Athlete.
