Fans are crossing off every single day on their calendars waiting for Drake’s “Views From the 6” to drop. While no date has been confirmed by the rapper, he has been generous enough to spring a few surprises at us.
Drake dropped “Can I”, his collaboration with Beyonce, on his Beats 1 OVO Sound radio show. This happened just two weeks after he launched “What a Time To Be Alive” with Future. A surprise mix-tape, “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late,” was also brought out for all Drake loyalists and who can forget the “Hotline Bling” video, which has forever been etched in our memories for many reasons.
The excitement surrounding his new album is at such a height that rumors suggest it has already been leaked online. A report on Chart Attack shares that his album “Views From the 6” has been dropped, but clearly that is not the real picture.
A video by Daily Rap on Twitter suggested that the album will be released on January 6, 2016 and Drake never confirmed or denied these reports. So far, there has been no word from the rapper over when the album will be hitting store shelves.
As noted by Cleveland.com, the rapper announced “‘Views From The 6’ coming very soon'” at a New Year’s Eve party in Miami. That gives us nothing to work with as fans have been known to be waiting around for years for some of their favorites such as Kanye West and Frank Ocean to be releasing their albums.
Frank Ocean had gone ahead and promised fans a July 2015 launch of his album, “Boys Don’t Cry”, before he went all MIA and no one has heard any further details about the album from the man himself.
Hopefully, Drake won’t keep us waiting for long and drop his album sometime this month. Fans can keep coming back for more details on “Views From The 6.”
