Waiting around for Drake’s “Views From the 6” may have almost become unbearable at this point. However, the artist has been generous enough and dropped not one but two tracks from the album, giving fans some relief before the album launch.
The Toronto rapper who has been stealing hearts with his work has now shared two numbers from his upcoming album “Views From the 6” titled “Pop Style” and “One Dance,” as noted by E! News. Both the tracks showcase the diversity of the album and of course gives us a glimpse into some of the big names that have come onboard. In case you are wondering, “Pop Style” is the track featuring the Throne – Kanye West and Jay Z.
You may recollect that Drake dropped the first single from the album back in January, “Summer Sixteen” which has lines about Yeezy and Jay Z. And it goes like this: “I used to want to be on Roc-A-Fella, then I turned into Jay. Now I got a house in L.A., now I got a bigger pool than ‘Ye,” he raps in the song, adding, “Ye’s pool is nice, mine’s just bigger is what I’m sayin’.”
The new number “Pop Style” has a low beat with Drake rapping his heart out over distrust, while Kanye and Jay talk about the critics. On the other hand, “One Dance,” happens to be on a lighter tone featuring Nigerian rapper Wizkid and Filipino R&B singer Kyla. This breezy number would make you want to head to the dance floor.
As reported by Rolling Stone, “The Life of Pablo” track “30 Hours” also credits Drake and this clearly indicates that any rumours with regards to any tiff between the Thone and the Toronto singer, happen to be just that, mere rumours. And Drake’s upcoming work has further solidified that any minor issue between them would only be pertaining to churning out good music!
Now, we will be counting down days until Drake’s upcoming album drops; keep watching this space for more.
