Given their similar personalities, it’s inevitable that Carmen and her daughter will butt heads. However, Devious Maids Season 4 episode 2 spoilers reveal that they are slowly coming around to really work the relationship out.
Executive producer Sabrina Wind teased Devious Maids Season 4 episode 2 spoilers to TVLine as she said that the writers are having a field day because of the dynamics of the relationship between Carmen and her daughter, as well as the strengths of their characters.
Wind said that Carmen really is not used to dealing with anybody who, as she described it, is “out-Carmening” her. But there’s an advantage to having a daughter in her life, and that is it provides her with an opportunity for introspection and really assess her behavior towards others.
She also said that they lucked out in casting Carmen’s daughter in the show, who is also apparently a star in Latin American audiences, although she’s a novice in terms of the US TV shows.

Wind also took note of the huge chemistry between Carmen and Daniela, which helps ease the writing process.
Sol Rodriguez, who plays Carmen’s daughter, shared per International Business Times that one of the reasons for Carmen’s less than welcoming reaction to her daughter was because she sees so much of herself in Daniela. And Daniela doesn’t make it easier as she’s determined to become famous in Hollywood, regardless of who she will step on along the way.
The synopsis for Devious Maids Season 4 episode 2 from TV Guide reveals that Rosie will be implicated in a gruesome murder, which Evelyn will find herself depressed after trying to forget Adrian. The description added, “Marisol makes a shocking discovery about Genevieve; Carmen worries about controlling Daniela after she begins acting wild, and Zoila notices her mother growing too close to her neighbor.”
Devious Maids Season 4 episode 2 will air on Monday at 9 p.m. on Lifetime. Watch out for more spoilers of the series, which will be published here when they come along.
