A lot is happening on the “Destiny” front and it is sure to make fans happy since there’s a lot more in store for them this year.
The timeline includes a “large new expansion” to the online sci-fi shooter game, which will be rolled out this year. Yes, this could indeed mean that the speculations surrounding the “Destiny 2” arriving this year didn’t hold much water in the first place. While fans may witness the release of a big expansion to the game sometime in 2016, its sequel will only be released in 2017. The creators of “Call of Duty” and “Skylanders” – Bungie and publishers Activision, may surely bring in something exciting to keep fans connected to the title until they go ahead and launch the second instalment.
According to report on VentureBeat, the Activision’s press release read, “Activision Publishing, along with its partners at Bungie, expects to bring a large new expansion to Destiny in 2016 and to release a full game sequel in 2017.” Reportedly, over 25 million players have clocked in over 3 billion hours in “Destiny.” There hasn’t been any clarity on what exactly does this expansion plan include and what will ardent gamers be treated to when the expansion does roll-out this year.
Covering details regarding the fate of the “Destiny,” This Week at Bungie shared, “We’ll be plotting more specific waypoints as time goes on.
