American horror comedy Zombieland has been picked up for a second part, and the production work will start in the near future. The latest buzz reveals that writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese are keeping busy in penning down the script of the movie. This is the same dynamic writer duo who wrote the script of Deadpool. Now the question arises: Will the Deadpool 2 release date be delayed?

Zombieland 2 has been in the news for the last seven years. The absence of any proper official word by the franchise provided endless grist to the rumor mill. Finally, the writers of the movie have come forward to hand out some solid updates about the movie.  They further revealed they are meeting with some of the original cast to make things happen for Zombieland 2. Great news for Zombieland fans!

How about Deadpool fans? Is the news going to bash their hopes? The whooping success of Deadpool has “set the bar” for its upcoming chapter. Perhaps Deadpool 2 is one of the most anticipated movies of recent times, and fans are eagerly waiting for an official release date. The project might get stalled, with Wernick and Reese’s involvement in Zombieland 2.  If their schedule clashes, chances are high for the franchise to cut loose Deadpool 2 from an early release, which isn’t a big surprise in the film industry. In this case, the fans may have to wait just a little longer for Deadpool 2 release date.

We’re not saying definitively that Deadpool 2 release date will be delayed for Zombieland 2. We’re just saying you shouldn’t be surprised if it will. These are only speculations, and we are hopeful that they won’t turn out to be true. Everything  must go according to plan, and the movie should hit theaters on January 2018.
