Long-running soap “General Hospital” bagged the most number of awards, including the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series, at the recently concluded Daytime Emmy Awards 2016 in Los Angeles.

The popular drama bested other soap giants “The Young and the Restless,” “Days of Our Lives” and “The Bold and the Beautiful.”  As TVLine reported, Y&R had the most number of nominations in the pack with 27 nods, followed by GH (24), B&B (23) and Days (16).

Meanwhile, other daytime favourites like “Live With Kelly and Michael,” “The Talk” and “Dr Oz” each bagged their own Emmy for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Hosts,  Outstanding Talk Show and Outstanding Talk Host-Informative respectively.
