With “Dark Souls 3” hitting the shelves in just a few hours and some fans having already conquered the Japanese version of the game, some may be hungry for more action.
To cater to that hunger, a board game version of “Dark Souls” is being planned. GameSpot shares us the report about a “Dark Souls” board game.
It has been revealed by Steamforged Games that they will be creating the board game version of “Dark Souls” where they will be partnering with Bandai Namco Entertainment to make this a reality. However, no other details were hinted on how the game will be played according to their official website.
“Steamforged Games is proud to announce we will be working with Bandai Namco Entertainment, developing an exciting board game for the Dark Souls universe.
Dark Souls fans could not be more excited to be given the honour of developing a board game that embraces everything that makes Dark Souls the deep, compelling game experience that it is.
But don’t get too excited just yet as the planned board game will still have to go to a crowdfunding campaign this April. Aside from that, it was also revealed that Steamforged Games will put the game on Kickstarter.
Also, the spiritual game “Bloodborne” will be getting a card game from the makers of the “Star Wars” and “XCOM: Enemy Unknown” tabletop games where the card game will focus on the Chalice Dungeons that was one of the main features in “Bloodborne.” However, no other details were mentioned for the said card game.
