The crime drama TV series “Criminal Minds” episode 17 has made the audience wonder whether Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore) and his pregnant fiancée Savannah Hayes (Rochelle Aytes) will survive or die.

The constant rumors on how the episode will end are making the audience all the more worried. Some say that Morgan will be killed while others are saying that it will be Savannah and their unborn baby.

Episode 17 of “Criminal Minds” Season 11 showed a shooter targeted Derek and Savannah. But it is not clear who is the one who took the bullet shot. The preview of episode 18 only discloses that Savannah was shot.

We have seen more about Derek Morgan and his slowly sorting out life in the recent episodes. According to Ecumenical News, episode 16 titled “Derek” showed the agent got kidnapped and tortured by the Dirty Dozen hit-men. However, Morgan survived the suffering and credit goes to his father Hank (Danny Glover) appearing as his spirit guide. Derek also proposed to girlfriend Savannah. Even so, it looks like their happiness was short-lived as episode 17 ended with a gunshot sound and the pregnant Savannah screaming, reveals Ecumenical News.

The synopsis for episode 18, “A Beautiful Disaster” simply says Derek is evidently shaken after Savannah is quickly taken to the hospital in an ambulance. There is blood all over him. Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) voices what every “Criminal Minds” fan would when they’ve seen the promo — that Derek has never looked like this before, reported Design Trend.

Derek’s character is now visibly too close to the victim to solve the case. Derek cannot think straight and help his team work out his fiancée’s shooter due to his emotional state. Hotch (Thomas Gibson) takes him off the case which leaves Derek very angry because he can’t just afford to sit idle in such a serious situation.

Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) helps Hotch by getting Derek Morgan to back out. When Reid asks him if he believes that, the BAU loves him. He answers he does.

However, it seems all the measures are going to fail because we soon see the BAU agent (Derek) walking into a trap. Even there are possibilities that the death of Savannah or their baby, will make Derek completely reckless. In fact, the promo ends with him looking upset while telling Garica “baby girl” before shots are fired.
