Did the new “Captain America: Civil War” trailer reveal a major death?

According to Bustle, the death of Iron Man ally, James”Rhodey” Rhodes, was implied in the new trailer. The clip showed Rhodes’ seemingly lifeless War Machine being cradled by Iron Man. Does this mean he’s dead?

Don Cheadle, who played Rhodes, earlier told Super Hero Hype: “I never know where the character’s going to go, but…what happens to Rhodey is a little bit more intense and pivotal to what happens in the rest of the stories.”

The trailer also showed Rhodes as War Machine still alive and in flight with Iron Man. Then, Rhodes is shot and falls from the sky. When Iron Man reaches him, Rhodes had “blood dripping from his nose.” Iron Man is “devastated,” as expected. Is Rhodes really going to die in the upcoming Marvel movie? Or is there a chance for him to be revived? We’ll have to wait for the film’s release in May.

Meanwhile, fans who were hoping to see an R-Rated “Avengers” movie soon are out of luck. According to Cinema Blend, executives reportedly think producing more adult Marvel movies is not a good idea. This, despite the box office success of another Marvel movie, the R-Rated “Deadpool.”

X-Men fans, on the other hand, might expect to see an R-Rated “X Force.” It was earlier reported that producer Simon Kinberg thinks “they may have more wiggle room” with X-Men. “I think there are some stories that could be R-rated…X-Force I could see being R-rated, and who knows?” the producer said.

However, the upcoming X-Men film, “Apocalypse,” is expected to remain PG 13.  “X-Men: Apocalypse” is  slated for a May 27 release. “Civil War” meanwhile is scheduled for an earlier screening.

“Captain America: Civil War” is set to hit the big screen on May 6.
