“Avengers: Age of Ultron” might be one of the most successful Marvel movies of this year. But “Guardians of the Galaxy” seemed to capture the hearts of fans, too. Despite of the fact that the Avengers more well-known than the Guardians, they both relatively made it to the box office. Now, fans are excited to know if the next films “Captain America: Civil War” and “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” could be interconnected.

While much have been known about the “Civil War” plot, with Iron Man and Captain America battling over the Registration Act, it is possible that there will be a crossover between the Avengers and the “Guardians of the Galaxy.” If not in the “Civil War” than maybe it could be in the “Avengers: Infinity War 1 & 2.”

How will that crossover happen? Movie Pilot cited Thanos as the link between these two films.

Thanos owned the Infinity Gauntlet which could make him an overly powerful villain to the Avengers. And on the Guardian’s world, there is Gamora  — Thanos’ adoptive daughter.

According to the site, Gamora could be useful for the Avengers in order to defeat Thanos. She could use “emotional manipulation” as their ace over the villain, should all their superpowers not succeed in fighting him.

However, “Guardians of the Galaxy” director James Gunn seemed to debunk the crossover rumors.

“We really are separate from the Avengers, and I don’t think people should assume too many things about the Guardians play in all this, because we have our own galaxy to take care of.” quotes Movie Pilot.

“We have our own Galaxy to save. Earth is Avengers’ province. Thinking that everything is going to come together in a perfect way is not necessarily the way it is going to happen,” the director added.

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” kicks off in May 5, 2017 while “Captain America: Civil War” premieres May 6, 2016.

In other news, Marvel’s Spider Man reboot might cast Kraven as the villain, notes Screen Rant. However, the plot for this movie is still being kept under wraps.
