For fans and TV series fanatics alike, it is the dream. Cast of the beloved show “Friends” and the CBS hit comedy “The Big Bang Theory” have come together.
Although most fans would have wanted to see characters from both shows interact on TV at the same time, the said crossover is only through a photo.
Bleeding Cool reports that the photo, which is making “Friends” and “The Big Bang Theory” fans hyperventilate, was shared by actress Kaley Cuoco on her Instagram account. The star-studded image shows a glammed up gang with Matt LeBlanc (joey on Friends), Simon Helberg (Howard on BBT), Johnny Galecki (Leonard on BBT), Kaley Cuoco (penny on BBT), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe on Friends), David Schwimmer (Ross on Friends), Jim Parsons (Sheldon on BBT), Jennifer Aniston (Rachel on Friends), and Courtney Cox (Monica on Friends) coming together to smile for the camera.
Although the photo is packed with the most adored characters on TV, many would not miss the fact that Matthew Perry (Chandler on Friends), Kunal Nayyar (Raj on BBT), Mayim Bialik (Amy on BBT), and Melissa Rauch (Bernadette on BBT) are missing.
No explanation was provided on why the three “Big Bang Theory” cast were missing, but Matthew Perry’s absence can be attributed to the fact that he is in London.
It was previously reported that Perry is busy at work with his play “The End of Longing”. Nevertheless, although the “Friends” cast will not be complete in the NBC special, Perry has expressed that he “may tape something”.
While the cast are coming together for the tribute to James Burrows, a “Friends” movie reunion is not happening anytime soon.
The Telegraph reports that actor David Schwimmer and “Friends” writer Marta Kauffman were firm in saying that there will never be a “Friends” reunion movie.
