Beyonce’s “Formation” Tour 2016 is just getting started. However, tickets at various venues are already scarce. Hence, the mad scramble to get hold of one has begun. How much would you pay for a ticket?
It’s no secret why many want to watch Beyonce in concert. Her live performances never fail to knock out her audiences. Even in the midst of controversy, the Queen Bey gives her all for her fans. However, would you spend thousands of dollars for a ticket? The Inquisitr revealed the rise of price listings for tickets sold on eBay. The publication perused the online store to find out how much fans were willing to pay for the “Formation” Tour.
Several listings caught the publication’s attention. In particular, it noted a price tag of US$6,800 (AU$8,888). The VIP package included 20 concert tickets and four VIP parking passes for June 5 at the Philadelphia Lincoln Financial Field. The next expensive listing showed US$5,500 (AU$7,189) for Pasadena on May 14, although this particular offer includes only four tickets.
However, there might be an alternative for fans worried about finding tickets at the last minute. Ticketmaster, the official seller of “Formation” Tour tickets, released guidelines about purchasing and hawking counterfeit tickets for the protection of fans, 11alive wrote. Ticketmaster warned ticket holders against posting a selfie with their tickets.
“On your paper or mobile ticket there is a one-of-a-kind code and if anyone acquires it they can make duplicate tickets to use or sell that render your tickets worthless. That’s a risk you don’t want to take.”
Ticketmaster also advised fans to avoid scalpers. It’s best to check their website for a list of verified resellers. The publication noted resale ticket prices start at US$ 126 (AU$ 164).
Beyoncé kicked off the US leg of the “Formation” Tour last April 27. Her next concert is on April 29 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. The Queen Bey’s website indicates tickets at the venue are still available as of this writing.
