What happens when the “Guardians of the Galaxy” meet the “Suicide Squad?”

According to Slash Film,  we don’t have to wonder any longer. A Youtube user has made a mash-up of the blockbuster hit and the anticipated DC adaptation. The trailer featured clips from “Guardians” and audio from the “Suicide Squad” trailer. Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” was also playing throughout the mash-up.

“Guardians of the Galaxy” director James Gunn earlier slammed other comic book adaptations for copying his film’s trailer format. “Dozens of trailers [now look] exactly like the Guardians trailer with a big pop song and a bunch of quips,” Games Radar quoted Gunn as saying.

According to Games Radar, Gunn is also exasperated over the blockbuster hit “Deadpool.” Audiences might be “misunderstanding the lesson they should be learning” from the film, he said.

“Guardians of the Galaxy 2” is meanwhile currently in production. The first installment of the franchise proved to be a sleeper hit. The Marvel adaptation grossed around 1.1 billion AUD (774 million USD) worldwide. Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel are set to reprise their roles. The movie is set for a May 5, 2017 release.

Meanwhile, actor Jared Leto earlier pulled a prank on his “Suicide Squad” co-stars.

According to Independent UK, Leto, who plays The Joker, introduced himself by sending his cast mates a dead pig. His co-star Viola Davis confirmed the prank. Their co-star Margot Robbie was special, though. The Harley Quinn actress got a live black rat in a box from Leto instead. It was previously reported that “Suicide Squad” might be a face off between Harley Quinn and The Joker. You can meanwhile catch Davis on a new episode of “How to Get Away With Murder” every Thursday.

“Suicide Squad” is set to hit the big screen on August 5.
