“Batman v. Superman: The Dawn of Justice” will hit theaters soon. Will it include other DC superheroes?

According to Inquisitr, Batman and Superman are not the only DC heroes in the comic book adaptation. “Batman v. Superman” would introduce an “extraordinary amount of new characters.” The anticipated movie is set to “help launch several franchises and spin-offs in the coming years,” the news site explained.

Gal Gadot was previously confirmed to appear in the movie. The actress would play Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. However, according to Movie Pilot, Wonder Woman is not the only DC character to debut in “The Dawn of Justice.”  The film site pointed to a French magazine for their list of possible character cameos. The site’s list includes Callan Mulvey as KGBeast and Scoot McNairy as Jimmy Olsen. Movie Pilot also speculates that Jena Malone might make an appearance as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl. The Joker meanwhile might also be shown in a flashback. The following DC characters might also make a cameo: Aquaman, Cyborg, Doomsday, and the Flash.

None of these character cameos have been confirmed. However, it is possible that at least some of these superheroes would be featured in “Batman v. Superman.”

It was earlier reported that the upcoming film would have an R-Rated cut. The extended, adult version of the movie will reportedly be available this fall. The soundtrack of this upcoming DC adaptation will also be released soon. It will include tracks like “The Red Capes Are Coming.”

The original PG-13 version meanwhile is set for a March 25 release. Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill will star as the film’s titular superheroes. Amy Adams and Diane Lane are set to reprise their roles from the “Man of Steel.” Jesse Eisenberg has also been cast as super villain Lex Luthor.

Meanwhile, The Joker is confirmed to appear in the upcoming “Suicide Squad.”
