DC Comics’ very own speedster may be seen in the big screen sooner than expected.

In a report by Cinema Blend, it has been revealed that The Flash will make his appearance in the “Batman v Superman” upcoming movie. The fast-as-lightning alter ego of Barry Allen is one of the many superheroes set to make an appearance on the “Dawn of Justice” film. Cyborg and Aquaman have already been confirmed to debut in the movie.

The website shares that this new information comes from costume designer Michael Wilkinson, whose statement gives credibility to what has only been a rumor. Cinema Blend quotes Wilkinson in saying:

“I’m not really at the liberty to talk about The Flash right now, but it’s something that you’ll be seeing in the future in our films. You do get a glimpse of him, of course, in ‘Batman v Superman’.”

However, Screen Rant analyzes that based on the quote, the appearance of The Flash in “Batman v Superman” may be brief. The website suggests that the character may not even have an interaction with any of the main superheroes; instead, The Flash may appear in a vision or a flash-forward sequence.

The website also takes note that Wilkinson said he is ‘looking forward’ to designing the movie version of The Flash, which suggests that he has not done any work on it yet.

We Got This Covered also raises the idea that Barry Allen/The Flash may not be seen in full costume when he appears in “Batman v Superman”. Instead, the website suggests that the rumor about Barry Allen stopping a robbery in a blur may be true and that is all the audience is going to see of The Flash.

Whatever form The Flash will make his appearance in “Batman v Superman”, it shows that the DC film universe is slowly building up its foundation in introducing well-loved superheroes.

“Batman v Superman” will hit theaters on March 25, 2016 and young actor Ezra Miller (“Perks of Being a Wallflower”) is set to play The Flash/Barry Allen.
