Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice was one of the most anticipated movies of 2016. Warner Bros has released a new trailer for the movie announcing the “Ultimate Edition.” This bears an R Rating and DC’s new logo.

The R rating signifies the increased sequences of violence, but what exactly that requires is not known. However, it is said that in the US rating system, even a bit more pooled blood can change the rating from PG-13 to R.

The Home edition comes in two different versions: Digital HD and Ultra HD Blu-ray (4K). And both releases come with 182 minutes (30mins of extra footage). The Digital HD version of the home edition will hit the market on June 28., while the Ultra HD Blu-ray will be released a bit late. It will hit the stores on July 19. Customers can pre-order from

Both versions will get Jena Malone’s cut role from the theatrical cut.

Batman v Superman’s Ultra HD Blu-ray comes in Ultra HD Blu-ray combo pack that costs $44.95, Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack priced at $44.95, Blu-ray Combo Pack $35.99, 2-disc DVD Special Edition $28.98. In addition, the Ultimate Edition cut is included in the Ultra HD Blu-ray disc, the 2D disc in the 3D combo pack, as well as in one of the two 2D discs in the regular Blu-ray combo pack.

Whereas, the DVD edition is released in the standard definition theatrical cut only. A digital copy of the ultimate edition is incorporated in the Combo packs as well.

Moreover, a lot of brand-new footages are included, which could be another character cut from the theatrical release. According to Comic, one of the New Gods of Apokolips would show in the ultimate editions copy. The character is said to be shown in Justice League later.
