The Bachelor 2017 has finally been named. And contrary to previous speculations, the next Bachelor is Nick Viall. The official announcement came after the After Paradise. However, it seems fans have mixed reactions over ABC’s choice.
Before The Bachelorette 2016 Final Rose ceremony, fans were already looking forward to the announcement of the next Bachelor. Reports pointed out that Luke Pell, Chase McNary and Robby Hayes were the top 3 choices. Among the three, Luke Pell seemed to be the strongest contender. Of course, it can’t be Jordan Rodgers whom JoJo Fletcher chose at the end of the season.
Now, official announcements revealed that Nick Viall will be The Bachelor 2017. Yes, most fans didn’t expect it. Nick Viall wasn’t in the top three choices in previous reports. As such, fans have mixed feelings about Viall’s selection. Was Luke Pell a better choice?
Below, we round up five facts on why fans either love or hate the next Bachelor.
1. This is his fourth time on The Bachelor nation.
Nick Viall joined The Bachelorette twice – Season 10 and Season 11. Unfortunately, he didn’t win. He joined again for Bachelor In Paradise Season 3 but failed to win too. Some fans claimed that “they’re over seeing him” on the show.
“Give someone else a chance to find love not someone that’s been trying to find it through the bachelor nation three times already,” one fan commented on the show’s official page.
2. Always the runner-up but now, he’ll finally meet the love of his life.
Since he has been a runner-up for the past seasons he joined in, fans believe that this is Nick Viall’s right time.
Despite our differences I am truly happy 4 @viallnicholas28 everyone deserves love and he is no exception – this is your time, go find her!

3. Fans think it should have been Luke Pell as The Bachelor 2017.
However, Nick Viall’s selection didn’t seem to meet the standards of Luke Pell fans. Yep, they’re still hoping that the choice isn’t final.
Even Ben Higgins thought that the final choice was between Luke Pell and Chase McNary.

4. He’s old yet fans see it as an issue. Either they love or hate that he’s 35 years old.
I CANNOT BELIEVE NICK VIALL IS THE NEXT BACHELOR, he's old enough to have been my babysitter but hey, I'm in 👋🏼
