Marvel and DC may be known for their extreme competition especially now that their film and television universes are flourishing on both sides. However, “Arrow’s” Stephen Amell thinks that everything does not have to be a competition between the two.

Screen Rant reports that Amell, who helms one of DC’s successful TV series, has recently revealed in a Question and Answer in his Facebook fan page that he would not say ‘no’ if he was offered a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The statement was made by Amell when he answered a fan’s question regarding his openness to play a character in the Marvel universe.

In the Facebook video (which you can visit here), Amell can be quoted as saying:

“Sure. Why not? I’m up for roles–movie roles. Although I’ve never really read Marvel comics and I was always a DC guy even before I was a DC guy. But yeah, it’s not like if I got offered an awesome Marvel superhero I’d be like ‘No I can’t.'”

Meanwhile, although Amell’s response is only to answer a hypothetical question, MTV does not dismiss the potential of the actor landing a Marvel role.

The website then proceeds to list potential characters that would be fitting for Amell. MTV’s list is as follows:

1. Hawkeye
2. Daredevil
3. The Punisher

MTV notes that although Jeremy Renner already have the Hawkeye role, it is possible that the role will be recast in the future to a younger actor. Plus, MTV thinks that Amell is suitable to be Hawkeye given his skills in “Arrow”. Meanwhile, the website also notes that Daredevil and The Punisher may exist in the MCU TV, but Amell could handle those same roles if ever they have movie versions.

Although there is no news of Amell being cast in a Marvel role, fans can catch him when “Arrow” season 4 returns on January 20 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
