Apple has released an update to the Apple Music app for Android devices, and it comes with a new widget which would be dropped on the home screen of a smartphone or tablet.

The new widget has buttons such as playback controls for skip, pause and previous tracks, notes BGR. The app also provides a heart button and that enables the Apple Music to know your choice in Music so that it can have a better analysis on the future picks. However this widget was available on the Beats Music app on Android. For unknown reasons Apple didn’t include the feature.

Furthermore, Apple has also offered support for saving music to an SD card for offline listening in the future. The new update has also removed the annoying playlist quirk which had typically made users to add music to their library before creating a custom playlist with the same tracks. All these features now provide the users a more enjoyable listening experience.

Apart from the new features, Apple Music app also received few new changes such as users can now see what is playing on Beats 1, use gift cards from the settings menu and etc.

Apple has also received a 3.5-star rating. This means there are many Android users who are using the Apple’s subscription music service.

Android Headlines cites that Apple could have also included the Chromecast support which would bring 5-star rating from the Android world.

Interested Android users can go to Google Play Store and download the Apple Music for Android app and enjoy the new features for free. However, it is worth noting that the app is eligible for free three-month trial for the new subscribers when using the service.

Apple did a great job of adding SD storage support for the app, and we can expect that Chromecast support will also include in the future update.
