Android aficionados across the globe are probably eagerly waiting for roll out of the Android 6 Marshmallow update for their devices. While many OEMs have to yet officially confirm the dates, they have listed the devices which will be receiving the latest OS from Google.

HTC has revealed the names of the handsets which include HTC One M9, One M8, One M9+, One E9+, One E9, One ME, One E8, One M8 EYE, Butterfly 3, Desire 826, Desire 820 and Desire 816. There is no word yet when the update will be released, however the One M9 and One M8 can expect it during the “beginning end of 2015.”

So, users should be thankful that the new OS will be coming to their handsets sooner rather than later.

As for Samsung smartphones, Times News got its hands on the latest leaked information which revealed the Samsung Galaxy devices will also be getting the Marshmallow treatment. Since this isn’t the official word, take the details with a pinch of salt.

The list includes: Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, all of which are expected to receive the update on January 2016. This will be followed by Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge, speculated to receive the latest Android OS in February.

In March, the Galaxy A5 may receive the update while it is expected to come to Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5  in April 2016. The only device which may be getting the update before the year-end is the Galaxy Note 5.
