Leslie Jordan and Lady Gaga are returning to “American Horror Story.” They both will appear in the show’s sixth installment. This, Jordan recently himself confirmed.
The veteran actor first appeared on “American Horror Story: Coven.” He played Quentin Fleming from the Council of Witchcraft back in Season 3. His stint on the show was rather short, though. But it seems producers still want to bring him in again. “I’m booked all summer… I go back to ‘American Horror Story’ with Lady Gaga, isn’t that fun?” he told Washington Blade.
Jordan also revealed that he almost appeared in the show’s later seasons. But his schedule just didn’t permit him to join in. “They offered me another season, but I got offered a reality show in London and I needed the money. Let me tell you, those reality shows pay a lot of money. So I turned down ‘Freak Show,’ biggest mistake of my life,” he recalled. “I didn’t think Mr. (Ryan) Murphy would want me again because I turned him down, but he did.”
Murphy is the co-creator and showrunner of “American Horror Story.” In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, he earlier tried to explain why Lady Gaga might have wanted to go into acting. “I think [Lady Gaga] was drawn to being an actor because she was a little afraid of it,” Murphy said. “Like, she wanted to conquer it — and yet she’s playing someone who has no fear.” Lady Gaga’s acting efforts paid off, though. She won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Mini-series for her role in Season 5. The singer played the Countess in the previous season, “Hotel.” What role will she take on in the next season? What character would Leslie Jordan play? No word as of yet to confirm this. Stay tuned for updates.
