Australian actor Luke Mitchell, who plays Lincoln Campbell, has come a long way in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. What’s next for Lincoln on the show? But more importantly, what should fans expect in the mid-season finale of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”?

Speaking to Comic Book Resources, Luke spoke about coming into the Marvel Universe, his character’s evolution as well as details on the winter finale.

The Australian actor told the site that fans should not miss the mid-season finale of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” because “Maveth” episode will definitely be huge.

Luke admitted,

“It is completely a game-changer. It’s going to send shock waves through everyone, through the characters and the audience. People are going to need the break to discuss and deal with what happens in the winter finale before we come back.”

Moreover, the actor dished the budding love story of Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennett) and Lincoln. Those two characters kissed on the show. And according to Luke, fans should “definitely ship” them.

He said,

“I think he is very serious about her. If you like Lincoln and Daisy together, definitely ship. There’s more dynamic to explore in their relationship. We’ve definitely filmed some cool stuff. That storyline is not going away anytime soon.”

The Australian actor mentioned that Daisy is the only one that Lincoln trusts. After she saved him, the two characters had a “much deeper connection.”

“She’s all he has. She’s the only reason Lincoln is with S.H.I.E.L.D. at this point in time,” Luke added.

Luke admitted that his character is facing a lot of trust issues as part of S.H.I.E.L.D. He mentioned that his character must answer the question, “How much is he willing to be with S.H.I.E.L.D.?”

According to Luke, this will be explored in the next episodes of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe.
