A couple of months back, we broke the news to our readers that Nintendo of Europe has confirmed that it’ll be launching a limited-edition 3DS XL alongside the games in November this year. However, the latest update by the company reveals that the 3DS XL new system release date is slated before Pokémon Sun and Moon hit the market.

Lately, Nintendo announced a brand-new 3DS XL system inspired by Pokémon Sun and Moon gameplay. This A$249.00 3DS XL new system release date is scheduled for October 28, which is three weeks ahead of the Pokémon Sun and Moon launch date on November 18.

The 3DS XL features the legendary Pokémon from Sun and Moon, Solgaleo and Lunala, in black and white art. There is a catch though. Although the 3DS XL new system has its inspiration from the games, the gamer will require buying Pokémon Sun and Moon separately since none of them are included with this special 3DS XL. In case you want to buy both of the games, you may feel like taking advantage of the Dual Pack promo. You can have both Pokémon Sun and Moon with two 100-Pokeball packs for each for A$107 at selected outlets on November 18.

There is no denial that this new piece is definitely for those who would like something much simpler than the colorful bundle released for the Pokémon series’ 20th anniversary.

Nintendo marketing executive Doug Bowser stated: “This year marks the 20th anniversary of the beloved Pokemon series and people have never talked about Pokemon more. Playing Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon on this new Pokemon system is the best way for fans to show their love for this iconic series,” reports Gamespot.

The Nintendo 3DS XL new system has an area on the bottom screen with NFC reading and writing function built in. This allows the player to enjoy playing with amiibo on compatible software. Pokémon Sun and Moon are the upcoming Generation VII Pokemon games.

What are you waiting for? Go and grab this compact piece before stock runs out. The Nintendo 3DS XL new system release date is on October 28, so hurry!
