“Zootopia” international trailer has made its debut. The upcoming Disney animated film opens in theaters on March 4, 2016. The trailer features new footage from the movie and is available on YouTube at the following link.
Celebrity voices in the movie include Jason Bateman, Ginnifer Goodwin, Idris Elba, J.K. Simmons, Octavia Spencer, and Shakira. The singer also wrote a song for the film.
Bateman brings to life the character of Nick Wilde, the con artist fox. While Goldwin lends her voice to new rookie rabbit cop, Judy Hopps. Their animated counterparts team up to solve a mystery in the animal-filled city of “Zootopia”.
Other characters from the movie include Shakira as Gazelle, Octavia Spencer as Mrs. Otterson, J.K. Simmons as Mayor Leodore Lionhearted, and Tommy Chong as Yax the Yak.
A first look at Shakira’s music video for “Try Everything” featured in the movie came out on Good Morning America.
Shakira’s character Gazelle is a pop superstar in the movie. Director Bryan Howard revealed the singer was their only choice to play the part.
Bryan said, “Luckily for us, she said yes. Her immense talent and charm bring Gazelle and her song, ‘Try Everything,’ to life.”
“Zootopia” is not the only animated film fans can expect from Disney this year. Walt Disney Animation Studios is set to release another film called “Moana” later this year in November.
Moana features the voices of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Auli’I Cravalho. A sneak peek for the movie came out earlier.
Moana is Disney’s newest and also its first Polynesian princess, says The Big Cartoon Database.
Cravalho lends her voice to Moana while The Rock plays the role of a legendary demi-god named Maui. Together they head out on a musical adventure in search of a fabled island.
Disney introduced the two animated flicks at D23 EXPO 2015.
