Zlatan Ibrahimović is ready for a move out of his Paris Saint-Germain club after this season. But his destination is yet to be determined.
ESPN identifies Alessandro Alciato’s predictive tweet as an important clue about the Swede striker’s next move. Alessandro tweets that it’s 90% probable that Zlatan joins LA Galaxy and 10% he goes to Manchester United. There were also rumours about him signing up for AC Milan.
If Zlatan moves to the Major League Soccer, he either has to let his salary suffer what with the salary cap designated to the rest of the team’s players except for the top three or he has to dethrone one of the three top players for LA Galaxy.
The 34-year old Swede leaves after his contract has run up after a successful 4-year stint with PSG. Since his signing up in 2012, he has already racked up 178 appearances with 152 goals, BBC Sport reports.
Of his playing for Paris St-Germain, Ibrahimović said to BBC Sport, “Paris St-Germain has become a star club in the world and I played a key role moving it forward. It is now the right time for me to take a different path.”
Ending his playing career for the club, Ibrahimović tweeted, “I came like a king, left like a legend.”
To show their appreciation for Zlatan Ibrahimović, PSG also thanked the Swede through a tweet.
Meanwhile, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has already expressed the club’s desire to see him with the club in the future, saying they are “looking forward to the prospect of working with him again.”
Paris Saint-Germain is scheduled to play against Nantes for Ligue 1 in Parc des Princes in Paris this Saturday before going to the French Cup Final this May 22. This will be Ibrahimović’s last game for the Ligue 1 football team.
