Zayn Malik has been making a name in the music industry since he left One Direction. His latest single “Pillowtalk” has topples Justin Bieber’s song “Love Yourself” in the UK Top Charts.
Bieber had a massive comeback with 3 new singles “Sorry,” “What Do You Mean,” and “Love Yourself” — all of which have spots in the Irish charts. However, the British lad’s “Pillowtalk” successfully stole the throne from the Canadian pop star’s “Love Yourself,” RTE reports.
The former 1D hunk, who wants to be referred only as “Zayn” has been busy promoting his new material, according to a previous report. Hence, he had to cancel his appearance on The Graham Norton Show and BBC Radio 1.
More than that, the music video of “Pillowtalk” has been making rounds on the Internet via YouTube. The video-which features his rumored girlfriend Gigi Hadid, has more than 50 million views so far.
Furthermore, Zayn also teased his fans about the unplugged version of the successful single. He shared a short clip of the song in acoustic with the hashtag #livingroomsession. The video received positive feedbacks from his followers.
“Pillowtalk” is included on his first full-length album “Mind of Mine” which will be out in music stores in March-exactly a year after he left One Direction. So far, aside from the aforementioned single, “Befour” is also part of the new effort. Notably, the latter has been first teased during his interview with the Fader.
Zayn said he left the pop group to lead the life of a normal young adult. However, months after his declaration, it was reported that he signed a deal with RCA Records. Thus, “Mind of Mine” was produced.
