The Sony Xperia Z5 arrived on the scene with a mean 23MP camera, 2-day battery life and a water-resistant chassis. And now, a “Made for Bond” version of the device has been announced for die-hard 007 fans.
The specs on the phone remain the same as the Xperia Z5, but it includes lot of content revolving around the upcoming Bond movie, “Spectre.”
The Xperia Z5 comes pre-loaded with James Bond themes and wallpapers, as noted by Xperia blog. Users also have access to Money Penny’s behind the scenes blog, which can be downloaded through the Xperia Lounge application.
The Sony UK website features a promotional video showing Money Penny collecting a package for Bond, which is the Xperia Z5 – Bond edition. Naturally so, she is followed and is successful in leaving the evildoers behind, all in James Bond style.
John Featherstone, Sony Mobile Communications Head of Business Development for APAC, told News.com.au, “We’re tapping into Sony’s ecosystem to deliver the best performance in areas we know best — cameras, screens and gaming.”
He shared, “If you compare the Z5 to other brands, we obviously have a higher resolution screen, faster autofocus and the ability to Remote Play PlayStation games on your phone.”
Vodafone has thrown in a good deal for those purchasing the device with the 4G £49 Red 4GB value plan. Along with this bundle, the Sony AZ1VR Action Cam Mini is made available for a discounted price of £49. They have also thrown in “50 Aston Martin experience days,” into the package as noted by Xperia blog.
Vodafone UK will be exclusively selling the “Made for Bond” edition and it will go up for pre-order from September 16 onwards.
There has been no word on whether the “Made for Bond” Xperia X5 will be heading to other regions. Until we hear about that, fans can look forward to “Spectre,” which is expected to hit theatres on October 26 in the US and UK, and on November 6 in Australia.
