The LG Nexus 5X was launched last year and it refreshed the 2013 LG offering, the Nexus 5. It’s packed with advanced hardware specs, which makes the handset a desirable device for Android lovers.
With the same price range of Nexus 5X, Xiaomi Mi 5 would be the right candidate to compare with. So we have listed the rundown of specs of both devices.
Xiaomi Mi5 sports 5.15-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 and weighs 129 g. While LG-made Nexus 5X has 5.2-inch Full HD display and a screen resolution of 1920×1080. The device weighs 136 g and is 7.9 mm thick, but Mi 5 is 7.3 mm in thickness.
Mi 5 is powered by quad-core Snapdragon 820 SoC paired with 3 GB of RAM while Nexus 5X bears a hexa-core Snapdragon with 2 GB of RAM. Both devices do not support external storage option, but has other features like fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C port, notes Tech Radar.
Mi 5 comes with 16 MP rear camera and 4 MP secondary camera whereas, Nexus 5X arrives with a 12.3-MP snapper and 5 MP front camera.
However, in terms of battery, Mi 5 wins. Xiaomi’s handset is backed by a 3,000m Ah powerful battery, but Nexus 5X houses 2, 700mAh battery. Both devices run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow but Xiaomi Mi 5 has MIUI 7 that runs overlay.
Sales of Xiaomi Mi 5 started on April 6 and can be purchased through mi.com. But LG Nexus 5X can be bought from any e-commerce website and retailers, notes Phone Arena.
Xiaomi offers 32 GB of inbuilt storage while Nexus 5X is available in 16 GB storage, but both handsets have the same price.
Since the 32 GB model of Nexus 5X is pricey, customers will have to pay a little more to get the stock Android experience from Google. Thus in terms of hardware and pricing, Xiaomi Mi 5 outwits the Nexus 5X.
