The Xiaomi Mi 5 is one of the high-end smartphone released by the Chinese company and has also received rave reviews. However, now the question comes that will the device topple the Apple’s finest handset, iPhone 6S?

Design and build quality
The Xiaomi Mi 5 has curves similar to Samsung Galaxy S7 and sports thin bezels, which is one of the design highlights. A physical home button is found as per the design leaks and a fingerprint sensor is added underneath the button, according to GSM Arena.
The rear snapper on the Xiaomi Mi 5 sits flush with the body of the phone. The Chinese smartphone is available in different versions; the 128GB Pro storage version bears a ceramic back cover, as it is stated as ‘harder than steel’. While other builds of the smartphone arrive in a curved glass rear and the company offers you colour options such as white, gold or black.
Whereas, iPhone 6 sports anodized aluminium back which has tough to grip, so users would need a case to protect the smartphone. On the rear side of the device, the camera protrudes ever so slightly in iPhone 6.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 has a 5.15-inch full HD LCD display that has an LED back redesign. It offers a resolution of 1,080 x 1920 pixels that gives sharp content and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
On the contrary, iPhone is packed with 4.7-inch IPS LCD screen, offers a resolution of 1,334 x 750 pixels at 326 ppi.
Processor and storage
All three models of the Xiaomi Mi 5 are powered by the Snapdragon 820 processor but there have been some variations in terms of internal storage and RAM. The 128GB model of Mi 5 comes with 4 GB of RAM, the 64GB model has 3GB RAM and 32GB model has 3GB RAM.
Apple’s iPhone 6s has a 64-bit A8 processor and coupled with 1 GB of RAM. Even though it is 1GB of RAM it copes very well with resource-intensive tasks. The device comes in three different variants 16GB, 64GB or 128GB of internal storage.
Xiaomi Mi 5 offers 16MP camera on the rear, which has OIS technology to provide clearer, higher-quality pictures and videos. Along with it, 4MP camera is placed on the front.
The iPhone 6 includes an 8 MP iSight camera, that performs at ‘double the speed’ of Apple’s previous release, notes Android Pit.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 runs on MIUI 7, which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. While, iPhone 6 is powered by iOS9, and it includes improved Siri, a faster overall browsing experience, smoother animations and better search results listings.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 has 3, 000mAh battery and the device supports Type-C connector. The battery is rated to stay for the entire day. While, iPhone 6S has a 1, 810 mAh battery and can stay 25% longer than the iPhone 5s.
