Xiaomi Max Photos Leaked: Top 5 Features to Look For


Xiaomi had conducted a poll last week where it asked what should be the name of its next flagship smartphone. It had four options, but “Xiaomi Max” received a high number of votes. Other options provided were: Xiaomi Pro, Xiaomi Plus and Xiaomi Big.

However, the company didn’t reveal any details at that time, but it was understood by the name that the next smartphone would be a powerful or a large-sized handset.

A few hours later, a set of images of Xiaomi Max was leaked online, which showed the alleged front panel of the device.

The leaked images are said to come directly from the production line of the Chinese company and My Drives (via GSM Arena) shared it on the internet. The images showed that the front panel of the new phone was big, indicating it could be a phablet and not a regular-sized smartphone, notes NDTV.

From the front panel cutouts, the device will have three capacitive buttons at the bottom as well as earpiece and sensor on top. While rumours suggest that a physical button will not be included, a fingerprint sensor will be featured which was last seen in Mi 5. However, speculations also say that the sensor will be placed on the back panel, similar to that of Redmi Note 3 or the Mi 4s.

However, at the moment, specification details of the new phone are still scarce. Rumours has it that a display larger than 5.7-inch will be incorporated and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. It is expected that it will be announced in May this year, as per Android Central.

According to speculations, the brand is also working on the second-generation Mi Note smartphone. Recently, reports leaked online regarding the pricing of Xiaomi Mi Note 2, and it also cited that the device will follow its predecessor’s specifications, so you can expect top-notch specs. The tipster claimed that the Mi Note 2 will carry a price tag of CNY 2, 999, which is costlier than the Mi Note when compared.
