Xbox One, Xbox 360 with Gold Free May 2016 Games


Soon after PlayStation released the list of free games, Microsoft didn’t lag behind to release the May 2016 list of Xbox One and Xbox Gold Lineup.

As part of the Games with Gold program, Xbox Live Gold members will receive four new free games – two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360. Microsoft notes that you can play both Xbox 360 titles on your Xbox One with Backward Compatibility.

The official blog states, On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download Defense Grid 2 $19.69 (US $14.99 ERP) for free during the month of May. Costume Quest 2 $19.69 (US $14.99 ERP) will be available as a free download from May 16 to June 15.

“On Xbox 360, starting Sunday, 01 May, GRID 2 $32.82 (US $24.99 ERP) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through May 15. Then on May 16, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Peggle $13.12 (US $9.99 ERP) for free through May 31.”

May 2016 Games With Gold Lineup:

Xbox One:

  • Defense Grid 2 normally $19.69 (US $15) – May 1-31
  • Costume Quest 2 normally $19.69 (US $15) — May 16-June 15
  • Sunset Overdrive normally $26.27 (US $20) — April 16-May 15

Xbox 360:

  • Grid 2 normally $19.69 (US $15) — May 1-15
  • Peggle normally $13.12 (US $10) — May 16-31

Sony is yet to announce the May list of free games. They previously announced this week’s lineup. We are hoping that Sony will release the list soon.

As per the Gamespot reports, you can still grab the remaining April 2016 titles before the new releases.

April 2016 Games With Gold Lineup:

Xbox One:

  • Lords of the Fallen — March 16-April 15
  • The Wolf Among Us — April 1-30
  • Sunset Overdrive — April 16-May 15

Xbox 360:

  • Dead Space – April 1-15
  • Saints Row IV — April 16-30

The latest PlayStation games for April 26 have already been released and the drop features some of the big names in the list. Apart from “intense multiplayer” battles of “Alienation,” the list includes “Severed” on PS Vita.
