GameSpot is one of the sources who breaks down a list of this HDR compatible games. Though at this point the list is fairly small, the source relays a statement from Xbox marketing head Aaron Greenberg. The website quotes a tweet from Greenberg saying that more titles will receive an HDR patch in the future.

The statement is vague without any clues as to what games or when they’re coming. Nevertheless, it appears as the only logical path given that gaming fans are investing more into higher-end tech and devices.

Potential Xbox One Games with HDR support in the future

At this point, it’ still uncertain when the next batch of HDR compatible titles arrive. Nevertheless, gamers can assume that more well-known games could make their way towards a patch.

Meanwhile, if you’re still thinking about whether HDR capability is worth it, Ars Technica had this tip to share:

“If you’re looking to enjoy HDR on your game console, make sure to get a TV that supports the HDR10 color standard. Microsoft fans will also need the slimmed down Xbox One S to enjoy the improved colors; the feature isn’t available on the older, larger models. […] Adding quality HDR color to a game isn’t as simple as flipping a switch, and most developers outside of Sony and Microsoft’s first-party studios haven’t taken the time and effort to work in the new color space yet.”
