Hugh Jackman has been rumoured to appear in the latest trailer of “X-Men: Apocalypse.”
According to Heroic Hollywood, the new trailer of “X-Men: Apocalypse” is set to be released in CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Thursday (April 14). The trailer reportedly will include footage of Jackman, reprising his iconic X-Men character, Wolverine.
ComicBook however noted that it is still unclear if Wolverine will have a major role in “X-Men: Apocalypse” or if he will make a cameo similar to his appearance in “X-Men: First Class.”
Heroic Hollywood reported that Jackman quietly shot his “X-Men: Apocalypse” scenes during re-shoots. Hugh Jackman allegedly was not supposed to be in the film, but director Bryan Singer “figured out” a way to write him in at the last minute.
Cinema Blend noted that Jackman’s appearance in “X-Men: Apocalypse” had been rumored for some time. If true that he will appear in X-Men: Apocalypse, it will mark the eighth time that Jackman portrayed the clawed mutant character.
Meanwhile, Singer hinted at a possible “darker” side of Jean Grey in the upcoming Marvel movie and even suggested another potential Dark Phoenix storyline, Comic Book wrote.
Singer told Entertainment Weekly: “In the beginning, she’s the last thing he’s interested in. When he first comes to the mansion, Scott’s blind so he can’t see her. Suddenly he gets some glasses and now he can see her and he’s like ‘Oh! That’s Jean Grey.’ Both of them are misfits in a way. Other mutants have settled in with their powers. This is all new to Scott Summers and he doesn’t like it and he doesn’t like school. And Jean she has not only has her telekenisis and her telepathy but she also knows inherently that something darker and more powerful is growing inside her and she doesn’t quite know what it is.”
“X-Men: Apocalypse” will open in theatres on May 27, 2016.
