‘X-Men Apocalypse’ Quicksilver A Slow Superhero? Evan Peters Takes 2 Months to Film Scene

Bryan Singer’s “X-Men: Apocalypse” is gaining more and more attention by the day. With just a few months left for its release, director Singer had something important to say about one of the scenes played by Quicksilver.

According to Screen Rant, Super Bowl 2016 saw an “X-Men: Apocalypse” commercial that showed Quicksilver for a few seconds rushing towards or running away from something. Quicksilver, who rose to fame in the previous instalment of the movie plays yet another critical part in the film and his appearance left many in awe of what the movie has to offer.

Bryan Singer confirmed on his Instagram account that the scene shown in the commercial took a month and a half to complete and thanked Evan Peters for having had the patience to collaborate. He said:

“You can have fast or cute. Thank you @20thcenturyfox marketing #marcweinstock #davesingh #elyorias and the team for getting us on #superbowl50 #nfl #fox#football #XMen #xmenapocalypse FYI this scene with #evanpeters as #quicksilver took one and a half months for a less than 3 minute sequence resulting in Evan working longer than any other actor on the film. Thanks Evan and #ryanmurphy @ahsfx for accommodating!”

Quicksilver has been a hit ever since the scene from “X-Men: Days of the Future Past”, where he helped Wolverine and Charles Xavier in their mission to break Magneto out of the Pentagon. Hence Bryan Singer has taken extra measures to keep this scene in the upcoming movie even more exciting.

According to Cinema Blend, this scene is not exactly the Pentagon, but the X Mansion, where Quicksilver tries to rescue Charles Xavier’s students from the Apocalypse and his Four Horsemen. This scene however has a more serious feel to it, as compared to the scene in the “Days of the Future Past” where it was embedded into the movie just for laughs.

“X-Men: Apocalypse” will hit theatres on May 27.
