“X-Men: Apocalypse” will not hit theatres until May but fans are already speculating what the movie has in store for them. Past trailers hint that the X-Men will face off with Apocalypse and his four horsemen. This detail reminds some fans of the Bible. Will the next “X-Men movie” explore other story arcs from the Bible? Will other biblical figures be introduced in the film as well?

Movie Pilot certainly thinks so. “It’s definitely going to be a biblical-themed movie,” the blog suggests. Which biblical characters with “unworldly power” can maybe pop up in the upcoming film? Movie Pilot suggests Jesus. But the blog was hesitant in explaining how God’s only Son will figure into the X-Men” universe. “I’m a little afraid of what might happen if I suggest the Son of God got his powers from a mutant. But you can just use your imagination,” Movie Pilot said. Other biblical figures that could be included in the movie are Samson, Ezekiel, Moses, and Elisha. So, will these biblical heroes find their way in the next “X-Men” movie? No word as of yet to confirm this. Stay tuned for updates.

Meanwhile, IGN suggests that The Blob might make an appearance in “Apocalypse.” The movie’s director Bryan Singer earlier posted a photo on Instagram that teased this detail. In the snapshot, Angel could be seen standing over a character who looks like The Blob.

Fans know that The Blob is a super villain. But the photo suggests he will be defeated by Angel in a cage fight. Will this villain really make a comeback in “Apocalypse” only to be defeated? He was last seen on screen in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” The Blob was played by actor Kevin Durand then.

“X-Men: Apocalypse” will hit the big screen on May 27.
